Michael Gonzalez emerged as a true offensive weapon in the 2005-06 season. He utilized his explosive speed to knock in 8 goals in his second season with the Dragons. His season total of 15 points placed him on top 10 in the league.
Gonzalez recorded three hat-tricks during the 2005-06 season. Including a three goal, six point performance on January 27, 2006; and back-to-back hat-tricks. Gonzalez scored four goals and two assists against the Eagles on March 24, resulting in a career high points scored in the game. The Dragons dominated the Eagles all season and Gonzalez was a major contributor. He finished the 2005-06 season with 10 points, five assists and four blocks against the Porkshops.
